How to handle bullying?

There are many solutions to prevent and handle physical bullying.

We all know that the main solution to physical bullying is to consult an adult (go figure), but you may ask yourself: "Are there any other paths that I can take?". Of course there are.

For example, a way to stop physical bullying is to react as little possible to your bully, thus the bully, when seeing that he/she doesn't affect you at all, he/she shall then see no point in continuing their actions. This way might not always be effective, but is worth a try.

Another way to get a bully off your back is to always stay with a friend, or a group of friends. No bully wants to get into a situation in which there are many against him/her alone.

For those who are getting bullied and can’t seem to find a person to stick around with, staying around an adult or a teacher is also a good way to get him/her off your back; no adult would just turn their back to a child getting hurt.

If you are someone who has witnessed or knows about somebody getting bullied, do the right thing and consult an adult, DO NOT get yourself involved directly. Contrary from what other people say, we have learned that getting yourself involved physically could bring you trouble that you don't want.

Another solution is to educate children starting at a young age, that bullying is bad and that it can ruin their life. This solution can prevent future bullies and future bullying victims, no one wants’ to know that their child is a bully or is getting bullied.

Once a person has been bullied, they are scarred with these terrible memories that may or may not haunt them for the rest of their lives. Seeking therapy, in my opinion, is the best way to get rid a person of these horrid thoughts. You should note that bullying has no age limit, neither does seeking counselling nor any other physical bullying solution.

Here is one of our favorite YouTube channels

(don't forget only use self- defence as a last resort!) :

Shane Fazen is a former professional boxer who injured his hand and was then forced to retire. He now makes self defense videos on YouTube. He also supports LGBT, an anti-bullying charity.  He gives detailed videos on how to mentally prepare yourself for a fight. This is very helpful when someone is trying to face a bully.
